“An eagle’s egg was placed in the nest of a prairie chicken. The egg hatched, and the little eagle grew up thinking it was a prairie chicken. The eagle did what the chickens did. It scratched in the dirt for seeds. It clucked and cackled. It never flew more than a few feet, because that is what chicken did.

One day he saw an eagle flying gracefully and majestically in the open sky. He asked the chicken “What is that beautiful bird?” The chicken replied, “That is an eagle. He is an outstanding bird, but you cannot fly like him, because you are just a chicken.”
So, the eagle never gave it a second thought, believing this to be the truth. He lived the life of and died a chicken, depriving himself of his heritage because of his lack of vision. What a pity! He was born to win, but was conditioned to lose. ”
Never let negative and critical people drag you down. If you want to achieve something in life, don’t give up on your plans and dreams, work on it to make it become a reality. It’s painful to wait, but it’s a lot more painful to live with the regret of you not doing it.
Don’t lose hope, I want to encourage you, to go after what you have always wanted to do. Focus on your faith, not on your fears. You do not need to be perfect, all you need is to take baby steps and start taking action. Be who you want to be, do what you want to do.
Recognise that you are SPECIAL and AMAZING! You have what it takes to be the person you were meant to be.
Many things might hold us back in life, just like that baby eagle who lived as a chicken:
- Being born in the wrong nest
- Being told that you cannot achieve something because of who you are perceived to be
- Dragged down by negativity or criticism
Or
- Just scratching and clucking when you should be soaring.
Never doubt yourself, you are capable of more than you think! Give yourself credit for things you do well. Big or small accomplishments, always celebrate your wins!
Be positive and be kind to yourself. Remember that you are awesome the way you are. Appreciate your life and know that you are God’s miracle!
Believe in yourself, have Faith in God and turn your vision into action now!
